Gregory's Story
In November 2002, after graduating from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, Gregory M. Wierzbicki entered the Air Force as a nurse. Gregory was driven to join the Service after 9/11 occurred during his senior year of the nursing program. He worked as a surgery floor nurse for nearly eight years before being selected to go to the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland in 2009 and becoming a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He continued to work until December 2019 when he was Medically Retired for Service Connected injuries.
