Robert Smith

Board Member

Born and raised in East Texas, Robert Smith is a dedicated entrepreneur, business leader, and philanthropist with a deep-rooted passion for his community.

With an impressive career spanning multiple industries, Robert has held key leadership roles in various companies. He served as Executive Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of Livingston Telephone Company from 1978 to 2013. Since 1978, he has been the CEO and President of Romark Utilities in Livingston, TX. Additionally, he has led Platinum Financial Holdings and Development as CEO since 2001. His experience also includes serving as Owner and President of Trans Texas Construction and Development from 2000 to 2010.

Beyond business, Robert is committed to preserving his family’s legacy and giving back to the community. He serves as Co-Trustee of the Smith Family Foundation (2016-Present), Director of Forest Hill Cemetery, and President of Oak Terrace Estates. Through the Smith Family Foundation Country Legends Tour, he actively promotes music and showcases talented artists.

Outside of his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Robert enjoys collecting classic cars, with some of his favorites being a 1970 Plymouth Super Bird, 1969 Dodge Daytona, and a 1967 Shelby GTE Convertible, along with several Model T’s. He is also an avid fisherman and dove hunter, embracing the great outdoors as a true Texan.

With decades of experience in leadership, business, and philanthropy, Robert continues to make a lasting impact on East Texas and beyond and is eager to serve veterans and first responders through Wheelchairs for Warriors!
